Magical Paris under a blanket of snow

This winter we only had 3 days of snow.
I love snow, the beautiful snowflakes gently falling down, the trees and all nature are covered with white frost and glittering snow.
Snow is so magical and when it keeps falling down, suddenly everything goes white and outside seem more relax and peaceful.
During snowy days all the sounds around seem to be lower and all the people calmer.
Everything is beautiful, covered with a white blanket as in a fairy tale.

Two weeks ago I was talking to my boyfriend, telling him how I wish to see snow in Paris. Later on I was sitting in the living room when my boyfriend asked me to look outside.
When I opened curtains I couldn't believe it. Everything was covered in snow. Our terrace turned into winter wonderland.
Wishes do come true. :-)
I couldn't stop looking out the window at the snow.
After an hour I told my boyfriend ''We have to go out''.
''Now'' he asked me.
''Yes'' I answered ''We have to go out to take some photos''.
It was 10 o'clock at night, but that didn't stop me to put a jacket on and running outside like a kid, taking pictures of everything.

Paris in the snow is pure magic.
It was amazing seeing our street turning into something truly breathtaking.
I have to say it is fun walking between white trees on the white ground and looking at the snowflakes falling down. There is something about seeing everything covered in the white blanket.
I love when it snows and I love when it rains.
Feeling the rain, walking in the rain, hearing it and seeing it, really washes away all the stress. And it's the same for snow. It feel so good.
It doesn't matter if you are lying comfortably in your bed and looking out the window or having a nice walk, breathing the freezing air.
Sometimes being outside can take the edge off.
Sometimes to go for a walk might be all you need.
It just brings a happy feeling.

''Love''

  4. I love that photo of the Eiffel Tower! London looked pretty lovely too - even Plumstead and that's saying something. What is it about snow that makes everyone giddy with excitement and sends children, who'd otherwise be glued to computers and TVs, charging outside heedless of the cold? And yes, I used the word heedless in a sentence on the internet and I don't care who knows.
    Blame the snow.

    1. Hi Nick, thank you for your comment. I guess why everyone is loving snow is, because we hardly ever have it.
